I rocked that pumpkin.

I carved my first pumpkin of the season last night!

Pumpkin No 1.0

Yeah, I totally rocked it.

Only took me 2 hours from first slice to lighting the candle.

2 more to do this week....and bake some pumpkin pie from scratch!

The seeds were soaked in butter, sugar, salt, cumin, and a dash of cayenne pepper, baked for a half hour :)

Sweet, salty, and a little kick!

Delicious.

I can totally be Susie-HomeMaker sometimes.
weird, huh?

Ooh, now I a recipe for the pumpkin seeds I just scooped out for my kids today!

And then tonight will be pumpkin carving time after the kids go to bed.

Nothing scarier than knife wielding children (too "Children of the Corn" for me), LOL.

all mine end up getting thrown off a bridge.

only thing about those seeds is they're a little gooey if you don't bake em long enough...not sure how everyone likes their seeds, i prefer them a little chewy!

come to think of it, I don't think my parents let us carve pumpkins till we were older...don't blame em either!

thrown off a bridge?! but WHYYYYY!
